About Us

Your Child Is in Great Hands

Philosophy

Our Philosophy is based on the Reggio Emelia pedagogy of learning with the structure of Montessori lessons. We believe in transparency and we communicate effectively with the parents who entrust us to take care of their precious children. We believe in music and language and dramatic play. We believe in science and exploration. Most of all, we believe in the children and we will nourish both mind, body, and social skills.

Director Angie Izzard worked in childcare facilities in East St Paul and in Winnipeg for over 24 years. She pursued her Montessori certification while working as an ECE II. Recently, she graduated with her ECE III certification with honours. Ms Angie is excited to be working in East St Paul again.

Director-in-Training Suki Brar worked in childcare facilities in Winnipeg while pursuing her Bachelor of Education. After 3 years of teaching high school science, she dedicated herself to early learning as she was always fascinated by the teachings of Maria Montessori and the pedagogy of Reggio Emelia. Ms Suki obtained her ECE III in 2018, and then returned to teaching but this time in early years. She left her job as an elementary teacher to open Bright Tikes Preschool and Day Care.

About the Director

Health & Safety

Our premises are cleaned and sanitized multiple times a day. Rest assured, this is how we do it and how we will continue to do it long after COVID 19. We are a facility that opened in the midst of a pandemic. We will follow all health requirements set forward to us by Manitoba Health, and we will always go above and beyond in cleaning and ensuring safety of your child.

Our sanitizers and cleaning supplies are locked away, we are a nut free environment, and will ensure that if your child has a food allergy that other children the classroom do not bring that item to the preschool.
